After a spree of sold out shows across the country, LA band The Neighbourhood‘s highly anticipated sophomore album Wiped Out! is out today via Columbia. In celebration of the release, the band shares the self-titled track from the LP. The song perfectly embodies the moonlit, romantic nature of the album, which was recorded at the beach and prominently features sounds from the ocean. The band put forth a mature new album that solidifies that they’re a real-deal band–an anomaly in pop radio, not cheesy but actually putting forth sharp pop records infused with R&B and psych for something much darker. The demand for them is huge–they’re selling out all of their shows on their 30+ day tour right now and they’ve had to add extra shows in major cities and those sell out too. They have also added a slew of new U.S. and European shows, the full tour dates are listed below. You can also stream the full record below. Hype Williams just directed their new video below (now over 1 MILLION YouTube views)- it’s a big deal for such a respected director to work with such a young band.
