Wolfmother have unleashed two new tunes off their upcoming album, Victorious: “City Lights” and the title track. The Austrailian power trio is known for nostalgic songs that recall ‘60s and ‘70s hard rock and metal, and the new tunes continue in that tradition while adding a slightly contemporary edge.

Those who pre-order the new record on iTunes will score instant downloads of both “Victorious” and “City Lights.”

In other news, Wolfmother have released the track list for “Victorious.” The album will pack 10 songs with such hefty titles as “Gypsy Caravan,” “Eye of the Beholder” and “Baroness”, all of which can be seen below.

Fans will have to wait a while to hear the whole new record. Victorious will arrive at all the usual outlets on February 19, 2016.  It is the fourth record and the followup to 2014’s New Crown.

It was recorded at Henson Studios in Los Angeles with producer Brendan O’Brien.

Mainman Andrew Stockdale says: “Back in the early days, I’d play guitar, bass, and drums and then present the ideas to the band and we’d work on the arrangement together.

“I thought it would be cool to get back to demoing ideas by myself and playing everything. It’s a good way to do things because it can make the style more cohesive.

“We wanted to get back to that big sound. The album is a balance of garage-y energy and big production. It’s wild, energetic and perfect for a festival main stage.”

Wolfmother tour North America early next year. See below for the full list of dates.
