Of course you probably already know that the one and only Black Sabbath have just released their new album 13! It went to #1 right away, and they are doing a limited tour in support. Austin radio station KLBJ 93.7 will be celebrating their 40th Anniversary celebration and are joining forces with the Austin Chronicle to give away tickets!  Register to win a pair of free tickets to see Black Sabbath at the Frank Erwin Center on July 27th here–good luck! Note: This is only open to those who live in or will be visiting the Austin area.

Following the overwhelming response to the initial announcement of just four tour dates, BLACK SABBATH has now confirmed a full 20-city North American trek.  BLACK SABBATH–OZZY OSBOURNE, TONY IOMMI and GEEZER BUTLER–are previewing music from their new album 13. On the new album, which came out June 11, the band that defined heavy metal picks up immediately where they left off with eight sprawling songs (five of them are over eight minutes) that possess every ounce of the maniacal vitality of the Grammy-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees’ trailblazing work in the ’70s. Songs such as “End of the Beginning,” “Loner,” “Dear Father” and “Age of Reason” reinforce 13’s testament to the enduring relevance of BLACK SABBATH’s long-running reign. Produced by Rick Rubin (seven-time Grammy winner, two of those as Producer of the Year), 13 was released on Vertigo (worldwide) and Vertigo/Republic in the U.S.

Andrew W.K., the King of Partying, will join Black Sabbath and perform a special DJ set every night before the definitive heavy metal band takes the stage.
